Dedicated to the memory of Levonig

This site is a tribute to Levon, our dearest son, who was born in London on May 8th, 2010. He is much loved and will always be remembered.

Levon, our gorgeous, sweet little boy, on Saturday 6th January, suffered a cardiac arrest, triggered by an underlying condition, this characterised by periodic paralysis and cardiac arrythmias.

On that tragic day, he collapsed into Raffi’s arms and after receiving CPR, and almost 30-40 minutes of resuscitation by a team of paramedics, his heart was revived. Seta and Anais arrived to witness this traumatic event and both parents escorted Levon in the ambulance to St Mary’s Hospital, where he was cared for by an excellent team of consultants, doctors, and nurses.

Unfortunately, the chances of Levon surviving a trauma such as this, was extremely low, due to the lack of oxygen to his brain.
Tests were done in the following days and Levon, was declared brain dead on the 9th of January, 2024 at 5pm.

Due to this set of circumstances, Levon was in the 1% of people who can become organ donors, after they pass away. Both Raffi and Seta therefore agreed that Levon's long-lasting legacy should be, to help save others and bring joy to other families. And, as confirmed by St. Mary's, Levon's spirit will live on in the hope of saving and extending the lives of three other people in need.

As you can imagine, the whole family is distraught, having lost their dear son and brother, and have been on an emotional rollercoaster since this tragic event. For those of you who didn’t know him, Levon was a special boy, with a beautiful soul and a wonderful heart. He exuded warmth, made people smile and drew everyone towards him. Even when paralysed for days at a time he managed to joke and laugh about his condition.

In the words of a very dear teacher:

"His cheeky smile, sense of fun, intelligence and indomitable spirit will forever remain with those of us who knew him. It was truly humbling to witness his optimism, positivity, and determination in the face of any challenge. We feel privileged to have watched him learn and grow, to have guided him and got to know such a delightful young man. One can instantly conjure up that endearing little grin and charming character. Levon was a very special chap, and he will be greatly missed by all who had the good fortune to meet him."
